Alumni Giving
Anthony Byrne is 27, the youngest of seven and the first to attend university in his family. After graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Cultural and Social Analysis), Anthony secured a job with the NSW Department of Attorney General and Justice.
In 2012, Anthony returned to UWS to complete a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry). As a student and donor to the University, Anthony understands the importance of giving back and supporting his fellow UWS students.
'If you have had a good experience at university then it is good to give something back, so someone else may also have that life changing experience.'
In 2012 the first five UWS Community Scholarships were awarded funded by the Alumni Scholarship Fund, staff and students. Read more about the five new recipients.
UWS has more than 120,000 alumni, so our ability to help the students of today and the graduates of tomorrow to reach their potential is enormous.
Together, we can achieve this – and keep on track the goal of UWS being a world-class institution.
By continuing to engage with and support UWS, you can carry on making a real difference to our Learning, Teaching and Research programs.
Your gift – regardless of size – can:
- Change lives by funding scholarships
- Help attract the best academics
- Support innovation and development
- Develop advanced resources and facilities
As a graduate, you can give now to support the Alumni Scholarship Fund and help ensure future generations of students, who are following in your footsteps, achieve their full potential.
You could also choose to make an unrestricted gift to the UWS Foundation.
Gifts of $2 or more are tax-deductible. 100% of every gift contributes to excellence at UWS.
