Bequests

A Lifetime Gift for Education

Making a bequest is a powerful way to support the University of Western Sydney in perpetuity at a level that may not be possible during your lifetime. It is an opportunity to leave behind the gift of knowledge as a lasting reminder of your life and your values in a way that will benefit many generations of students, teaching staff and researchers and have a part in bringing about long term social change in our region. It is your chance to create a lasting legacy and contribute to the future of UWS as a university of excellence, and to our society on a regional, national and global scale.

Intention of the Gift

You can choose to help shape someone’s life through a scholarship, support innovation and development through research in a wide variety of fields, inspire a new generation of students through helping us to appoint world class academics, provide support for Indigenous students, students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, help grow the University’s art collection, or enhance the growth of the region by contributing to new teaching facilities. Or you may simply wish to make an untied gift to be used as the University’s priorities change over time.

Leave a legacy and be a part of our future

A bequest can be made through your Will at any time, and you can pledge as little or as much as you like. We recommend you consult with your legal adviser before drafting or updating your Will.

Staying in touch

If you have pledged a gift to UWS through your Will, we would love to acknowledge your generosity. By informing us of your decision, we are also able to plan confidently for the future.
