UWS Staff Giving gets a boost – dollar for dollar matching to support our students

Since 2009, UWS staff have been giving generously to a number of important causes through UWS Staff Giving – the largest of these contributions has been made to support our students through scholarships.

Staff gifts are set to become even more significant as the University announces a decision to match all gifts to support student scholarships through UWS Staff Giving.

As you know, THE REAL DEAL is that many of our students are more than just students – some hold down multiple jobs, many are raising a family, while others are determined to beat the odds despite social or economic disadvantage.

• 30% of our students work more than 20 hours a week, while studying
• 7,500 UWS students are from disadvantaged areas
• Around 50% of our students are the first in their family to attend University

But our students, like the people of Western Sydney, are passionate and determined to succeed, despite setbacks along the way.

Now there are even more reasons to join staff giving today:

• Pre-tax donations, so you don’t need to keep receipts
• Joining is simple and you only need to set-up your gift once
• Your regular gift is managed securely by HR
• You will share in the impact of a collective effort
• By giving at workyou will get to see the impact you are making in person, on campus and in our local community
• Staff gifts to support scholarships will be exclusively matched, dollar for dollar by UWS.
