The Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospital Clinical School and Research Centre (based at Blacktown Hospital) is one of the teaching hospitals for the University of Western Sydney’s School of Medicine. The School brings together key academic and clinical professional staff, increasing the quality of medical training, expertise and research capacity.

The Clinical School and Research Centre includes an auditorium, student common room, medical library, tutorial rooms, academic offices and a three level research facility.

The School offers the ideal venue for interdisciplinary learning, with students from medicine, nursing, allied health (physiotherapy) and psychology already working together to develop an understanding of the importance of collaboration, to the ultimate benefit to the patient.

The School’s supportive environment makes for high student morale. The Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospital Clinical School team, together with the doctors and nursing staff of Blacktown Hospital are actively involved in the development of all students, helping to prepare them for their important roles as medical professionals in Greater Western Sydney and beyond.
