Meet our students
These five new recipients come from diverse backgrounds, but share the same aspiration of being able to give back to the community once they complete their studies.

Mereti Kaisuva is in her first year of the Bachelor of Social Science at the Bankstown campus.
‘I’m just so very, very thankful that I can be like others. I can afford to buy books and not be ashamed that I might have to ask for financial assistance.I have no excuse not to continue to study so I can, in turn, help others.’

Antonious Nehme is in his second year of the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Law at the Parramatta and Bankstown campuses.
‘The scholarship will allow me to finish my degree without financial hassles, which will in turn allow me to achieve my goal of becoming a prosecutor.’

Monique Luck is in her first year of the Bachelor of Nursing at the Campbelltown campus.
‘If you are mature age, and you have always wanted to study at university, just do it. If I can do it, anyone can do it, and don’t let anything get in the way.’

Rosemary Hawkins is in her third year of the Bachelor of Arts at the Kingswood campus.
‘Receiving a scholarship certainly helps with the financial cost of books and travel. It will also enable me to do some extra courses in my area of interest – writing’

Ken Lee is in his first year of the Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Physiotherapy at the Campbelltown Campus.
'First of all, the scholarship will lessen the burden and stress of money. It will also help me to focus on my study so I can become a physiotherapist and contribute to the local community.'
