2015 3MT Event
A typical research thesis is 80,000 words long and would take 9 hours to present. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition challenges you to present your research in three minutes using just one slide.
In 2015, James Wright from the MARCS Institute impressed the judges most, winning the $2,000 prize with his presentation on Somatosensory Interfaces – or – "Helping robots to feel what you feel". Samaneh Pourmohammadimojaveri from the Institute for Infrastructure Engineering took out both Runner Up and People's Choice for her presentation about Green Concrete Using Waste Tyre Rubber Particles.
James represented Western Sydney University at the 2015 Trans-Tasman 3MT Competition at the University of Queensland.
