2016 3MT Event

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition showcases the excellent research being undertaken by PhD and higher degree research candidates. 3MT challenges you to present your research thesis to a general audience with a time of three minutes and using just one slide.

The 2016 Finals were highly competitive, with Holly Kaye-Smith from the School of Humanities and Communication Arts taking home first prize for her talk "Changing The Way We 'Do' Things".

Anne Dwyer presented "Out of the mouths of (parents and then) babes: Early language experience and toddlers' vocabulary" and was awarded the Runner Up prize.

Samaneh Pourmohammadimojaveri presented her talk "Green Concrete Using Waste Tyre Rubber Particles" and was most popular with the audience on the day and won the People's Choice Award.
