Application outcome
The Graduations home page will provide details on when you can expect to receive an outcome for your application to graduate.
Monitor your MyMail account during this time as you will receive an email advising if you are eligible to graduate.
Application assessment
Once your application to graduate has been received by the Graduations Unit, it is sent to the applicable schools for assessment. The schools will assess your application and approve if you are eligible to graduate.
The school completes a thorough check to ensure each student’s unit sets are correct and if they are entitled to the key programs, majors and sub-majors registered in MyStudentRecords (MySR).
Important
As there are thousands of applications for each graduation round, the assessment process can take quite some time. Please check the graduation webpage for regular updates.
Outcomes and delays
Outcomes (eligible/not eligible) are advised via MyMail.
Delays will be advised via email and the graduations webpage. Please ensure you check MyMail and the graduation webpages frequently for updates, prior to becoming concerned and/or sending an enquiry. The Graduation Unit sends out information to students as soon as possible, once it is available.
Ceremony date and time
You will be sent an email to your MyMail account. A letter will also be sent to your postal address (as listed in MySR), approximately six weeks before the graduation round commences. This will outline the following:
- Confirmation of the course you are graduating from, as per your application
- Date and time of your ceremony
- What time to arrive for registration and regalia fitting on the day
- How to pay your graduation fee
- Details about the location at Parramatta campus (Sir Ian and Nancy Turbott Auditorium - Building EE)
- Parramatta campus map outlining parking, registration and ceremony location (Building EB and Auditorium Building EE)
Due to the large amount of applicants, the nature of the assessment and approval process along with the event organisation we are unable to provide exact ceremony details prior to 6 weeks ahead of the graduation round.
