Associate Professor Jonathon Allen
Biography
Associate Professor, Design.
Jon holds a PhD in Industrial Design and a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design and Technology, plus has held academic posts over the last ten years in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
Areas of Research/Teaching Expertise
Jon's research interests span: new and emerging materials and technologies; design's role in addressing social and environmental concerns; sustainable design; transport design - particularly public transport; augmenting people's capabilities through perceptive design; designing for people with disabilities; and alternative interfaces.Publications
