Doctor Mosheer Amer
Biography
I received my doctorate from the University of Melbourne, Australia, in the area of Critical Discourse Analysis focusing on the language of U.S. news media and the complex interplay of ideology, power and discourse. I also received an M.A. degree in TESOL from St Michael’s College, Vermont, USA. As for teaching experience, I have taught courses in linguistics, inter-cultural communication, and English and Arabic as foreign/second languages.
Areas of Research / Teaching Expertise
Discourse analysis, multimodal analysis, nationalism and identity in the Arab Middle East, TESOL, and Arabic as a foreign language.
