Biography

Ph.D in English Linguistics (Universidad de Alcalá, Spain, 2001). Title of doctoral thesis: Face and Power in the Interaction between Native and Non-Native Speakers.

Postgraduate Diploma of Specialist in Education and International Cooperation for Development (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, 1998)

Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics (Université Abdelmalek Essaadi, Tetouan, Morocco, 1993)

Taught English linguistics and Community Translation and Interpreting at the University of Alcala (Spain) from 2002 to 2006. Since 2006 I have been teaching translation, interpreting, Semantics & Pragmatics and Intercultural Pragmatics at the University of Western Sydney.
