Biography
Iqbal Barkat is a Doctoral Candidate at the University. He is currently working on a participatory media project on love and the aged in Western Sydney. He co-authored a major Australian Tertiary text on media production, Screen Media Arts, published by OUP in 2009. Screen Media Arts won the Tertiary Teaching and Learning Category at the Australian Publishing Awards 2009. Iqbal has directed a feature, documentaries, shorts, music videos and theatre pieces both in Australia and in Singapore, where he was born.
