Health Services and Outcomes Research Group
The Health Services and Outcomes (HSO) Research Group conducts world class population-based research on health services and the factors that determine their use, costs and outcomes. The HSO Research Group aims to make best use of existing population-based health data collections for research that will inform policy and drive improvements in health services. It has a specific focus on using large, linked datasets and on applying innovative analytic techniques (including multilevel modelling and data mining). The group works in close collaboration with policymakers and with national and international research leaders in the fields of health record linkage, cohort studies and biostatistics.
