Doctor Nga Le

Dr Nga LeNga Le is the Technical Officer responsible for the molecular biology laboratory and the laboratory-based climate controlled facilities. Nga came to the Institute in May 2011 after the completion of her PhD at the University of Sydney. Prior to her PhD, Nga worked at Cephalon Australia Pty Ltd (formerly known as Peptech Ltd) on the research and development of CEP-37247 (anti-tumour necrosis factor) the first domain antibody based product to be tested in humans for autoimmune diseases.

Nga earned her PhD in environmental microbiology from the School of Molecular Bioscience at the University of Sydney under the supervision of Dr. Nick Coleman. Her PhD thesis explored the application of Mycobacterium chubuense NBB4 for bioremediation of chlorinated pollutants and investigated the molecular genetic basis of this biodegradation activity.
