Mrs Patricia Hellier

Patricia HellierPatricia Hellier is the Senior Administration Officer (Research Administration). She commenced working at UWS in 2008 and has held various positions within the University. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Monash University and has extensive customer service/support experience.

Her position works closely with the Institute Manager and is responsible for administrative issues within the Institute, particularly with relation to the administration of the Institute’s research and research training. She also manages the provision of accurate information on the website and within publications and promotional materials.

Administrative Expertise

The responsibilities of her role relate to the Institute and its academic and professional staff, and postgraduate students. In particular, Patricia:

  • Assists academic staff with the preparation of grant applications, interrogating publications and performance databases, and maintaining an accurate record of grant applications submitted.
  • Provides administrative support to the HDR Coordinator
  • Provides recruitment administration, including position advertising and committee support
  • Manages conferences, seminars and special events
  • Manages visits to the HIE
  • Manages the HIE website
  • Provides secretariat support
