The University of Western Sydney Observatory will be hosting a ‘Dads and Kids Astronomy Night’ on Saturday 9th March and all fathers and their little aliens are invited to attend.

Associate Professor Miroslav Filipovic, Director of the UWS Observatory, will make a presentation, which will be followed by a question time, 3D astronomy movie, a tour of the dome area and 0.6m telescope, and a viewing of the night sky through the University’s computerised telescopes.

The Western Sydney Amateur Astronomy Group will be on hand to help with the viewings and will be available to answer any questions that attendees might have about their spectacular view.

The night will run from 8.00pm – 10.00pm at the UWS Penrith Observatory. Bookings can now be made online at www.uws.edu.au/observatory and will cost $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for children/concessions or $40.00 for a family.
