The 'Building on children's linguistic repertoires to enrich English learning' project has been quite successful. As a celebration, we have invited Willmot, Auburn and Noumea schools to view their mapping artworks in an exhibit at the Playhouse Theatre they will also present from 10am. The exhibition can be viewed by the public up until Thursday 26th November. The research project, led by Professor Margaret Somerville, aimed to map the everyday language practices of students in complex multilingual, culturally diverse classrooms. It also aimed to develop pedagogies based on students' everyday language practices that are revealed in the maps to address English curriculum outcomes.
