Description

This industry-focussed workshop aims to harness rhizosphere-soil-plant interactions to increase farm productivity and resilience of farming systems. Soil health in combination with use of efficient crop varieties that can harness the rhizosphere (areas of close proximity to plant roots) and microbial interactions can increase farm productivity by up to 50%. An increase in crop productivity of this scale is essential to supply the increasing demand for food in coming decades and maintain profitability of farming businesses.
