IT Services Green Day

As part of UWS’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, IT Services will be holding IT Services Green Day on Thursday 8 November. On this day, UWS staff will be asked to use technology rather than travel to conduct meetings.

UWS aims to incorporate sustainable practices in all of its activities, and to reduce the carbon footprint generated by travel where possible. In 2011 alone, videoconferencing saved 81,646km of travel.

One lucky group will win a catered morning tea delivered to several locations with videoconference rooms and links provided so the winners can have group morning tea together.
