Description

The Writing & Society Research Centre at the University of Western Sydney warmly invites you to a creative writing seminar with Pulitzer Prize winner Jane Smiley on ‘The Most Important Question’.

Jane Smiley is the author of eighteen novels and works of non-fiction, including A Thousand Acres (which won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was later adapted for film), Horse Heaven, The Man Who Invented the Computer, a series of YA horse books, and most recently, Private Life. A Fulbright Scholar to Iceland and a former Professor of English at Iowa State University, she is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and, in 2009, chaired the judges' panel for the Man Booker International Prize.
