Lost to the Earthquake: Memories of Langtang

The tiny village of Langtang was a vibrant home to a unique community of Tibetan Buddhists. In the space of minutes, this village was obliterated by the 25 April, 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which was followed by a kilometre long avalanche that killed nearly 200 of this small community. The event will also showcase a photographic archive that was compiled over several years of ethnographic and heritage fieldwork in Langtang, as well as Himalayan crafts and a raffle Please join us for wine and canapés as you share our memories of Langtang.
