Description
Every year in New South Wales we waste over $1,000 of food per household. When we waste food we also waste the resources that went into making and transport it. The Office of Sustainability have partners with the Henry Doubleday Association to provide free workshop for staff and students to help you save yourself time, money and the environment. Workshops will be held on Bankstown Campus on the 14th and 15th of May for around 45 minutes. During the workshop you will learn how much food we waste, the impacts of wasting food, how to shop better, store food correctly, reuse or recycle your leftovers and more. The workshop will include a free lunch, giveaways, short cooking demo and composting tips. Bookings are essential and spots are limited. Please RSVP to Helen at h.angelakis@uws.edu.au or 4570 1000. More workshops will be coming to other campuses later this year.
