Professor de Chazal recently commenced with the Bioelectronics and Neuroscience (BENS) research program at the Marcs Institute. He will be presenting "Forever yawning: researching and commercialising a non-invasive sleep monitoring system".

Abstract: Diagnosis and treatment of sleeping issues are big business. For the last 12 years I have worked in the area of sleep monitoring including 9 years spent commercialising a non-contact monitoring system with the Irish company BiancaMed (www.biancamed.com). In this presentation I look at research areas in sleep monitoring and discuss my experience in transforming university research into commercial products.
