Description

Positioning literacies in a Deleuzian-inspired context offers poignant potentialities for conducting empirical research through rhizoanalysis. Examples of Professor Masny’s research will be used to argue multiple literacies has become a transdisciplinary approach to research in the humanities and social sciences (education).

The presentation will be followed by an interactive session where attendees will be challenged to consider: What are the consequences of applying Deleuzian philosophy in terms of ontology, epistemology and the consequent politics of educational research?

The interactive part of the session will be fully open to questions and answers and show how empirical data collection and analysis can be reconciled with Deleuzian philosophy.
