Description

This course is for students who need to refresh the knowledge required for the study of calculus. The course content includes advanced algebra, functions and trigonometry Learning Outcomes: Students will revise the algebraic and trigonometric material required for the study of calculus.



This will include:




  • Manipulation and simplification of algebraic expressions


  • Solving equations, including quadratics and those containing logarithms and exponentials


  • The use of function notation


  • Construction of graphs, both linear and non-linear, and the identification of functions


  • Solving trigonometric equations including the use of radians as a unit for angular measure
