Description
Seminar abstract: Phosphorus (P) is one of the essential nutrients for plant growth and development, but low P availability has affected ecosystem function in many parts of the world. On the other hand, land use change, one of key environmental changes and global phenomenon, can affect soil phosphorus availability and transformation, and in turn, ecosystem function and stability. This talk will summarise/ discuss the key findings of a case study on the effects of land use change from grassland to forest on soil phosphorus availability and dynamics and potential biological mechanisms involved All are welcome, no RSVP require Further information on Associate Professor Chen can be found at: http://www.griffith.edu.au/environment-planning-architecture/griffith-school-environment/staff/associate-professor-chengrong-chen
