Description
This course is for students and researchers interested in polymer characterization.

These 5 x 2 hour courses will be at Parramatta North Campus.



  • Monday 20th May, 10am-12pm: Separation by Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC, also previously known as GPC) brand broadening, universal calibration.


  • Monday 27th May, 10am-12pm: Determination of molar mass and molar mass distributions by SEC, calibration, viscometry, light scattering.


  • Monday 3rd June, 10am-12pm: SEC of branched polymers, polyacrylates etc.


  • Tuesday 11th June, 10am-12pm: SEC of polysaccharides and copolymers; other HPLC methods and field-flow Fractionation (FFF).


  • Monday 17th June, 10am-12pm: Capillary electrophoresis of polyelectrolytes (DNA, polysaccharides, polyacrylates).
