ICS Seminar Series
The next seminar is Thursday 21 June, 2-4.30pm, on the Parramatta campus. Speakers are Terry Flew, Queensland University of Technology: Four Public Enquiries and No Political Funeral: The Unexpected Return of Media Policy Debates in Australia, and Emma Power, School of Social Sciences and Psychology / UWS: More-than-human Neighbouring in Sydney Apartments: Materialities, Textures and Apartment Design.

Lunchtime Seminar Series
The next lunchtime seminar will be held on Tuesday 3 July. Speaker: Jen Li: A Kind of Paradise: The changing spaces of public libraries.
Forums
The Inaugural NSW Timor-Leste Forum: “Building Collaborative Partnerships for Timor-Leste” will be held on Saturday 14 July 2012.
This forum is a partnership between The Blue Mountains East Timor Sisters, the Institute for Culture and Society, and the Sustainability and Social Research Group. It aims to create a space for new dialogues between organisations and community groups that have experienced the challenges of, and developed expertise in, collaborating with Timor-Leste communities.
Conferences
In 2012 the Institute will co-host the Asian Studies Association of Australia (ASAA) 19th Biennial Conference 2012. This will be held at The University of Western Sydney 11-13 July 2012 with the theme of ‘Knowing Asia: Asian Studies in an Asian Century’.
The Governing City Futures Conference will be held 16-17 August 2012 in Sydney.
