Dr Teresa Swist
Dr Teresa Swist is a Research Fellow at the Young and Resilient Research Centre (opens in a new window) and the Wellbeing Health & Youth Centre of Research Excellence.
Her transdisciplinary research explores the complexity of knowing, making and caring in the digital age. Teresa has extensive experience in theory-building, framework development, and participatory methodologies that advance imaginative possibilities and inclusive practices with people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and expertise. Her social-ecological systems approach helps to surface the multidimensional aspects of wellbeing and innovation across personal, public, and planetary contexts. Teresa also applies an infrastructure perspective to make visible the ways in which diverse technologies, practices and stakeholders are shaping future pathways of healthcare, communication, cities, public libraries, sustainable development, and higher education. She has a particular interest in the role of creativity, data and technology in everyday life, plus the evolving knowledge and information practices of young people, professionals, communities, and institutions. Her work has been published in Philosophy & Technology, Continuum: Journal of Media & Cultural Studies, Journal of Youth Studies, New Media & Society, and Higher Education Research & Development.
