Share, connect and showcase
The Office of the iDVC Education is pleased to announce the inaugural Designing for Learning Showcase which recognises innovations in learning and teaching through blended learning strategies and initiatives.
This one-day, whole-of-university event will take place at Parramatta campus on Friday 29th November 2013. The focus will be on-campus and off-campus learning experiences, sharing good practices and connecting staff with peers to discuss effective strategies for blended learning and assessment.
An exciting event is being planned with a key note speaker, panel discussions, showcase theme presentations from UWS staff, and a 'Learning Fair' over lunch. All UWS staff and UWSCollege staff are invited to attend and present at the Showcase event.
Showcase Program
The showcase is intended for UWS Staff, including academic and professional staff from schools, UWSCollege and organisational units within UWS. The program will feature:
- an opening address by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janice Reid
- Keynote address from external guest speaker
- panel discussion (UWS staff)
- concurrent sessions comprising presentations by UWS staff
- Lunch and ‘Learning Fair’.
The concurrent sessions will showcase achievements, innovations, best practice and collaborative ventures in Blended Learning at UWS.
Registrations on the morning of the event will start at 8.30am. The event will run from 9am to 3:30pm, with networking from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Registrations
Registration to attend is currently open. Places are limited, so please register as soon as possible through the Designing for Learning Registration Form.
Registrations are free and will close on 31 October 2013 subject to numbers.
Abstract Submissions
Submit your abstract to present at the Showcase.
The deadline for abstract submissions is 30 August 2013.
