Learning Support Review
The University of Western Sydney is undertaking a review of its student academic support programs. This review is intended to reflect on the effectiveness of the programs already on offer, and to explore other learning support opportunities that could be provided to students to enhance their learning experience.
Student academic programs that are currently offered include:
- Academic Literacy (UniStep)
- Academic Preparation (AcPrep)
- Academic Skills Workshops
- International AcPrep
- Library Roving, including Academic Writing and Mathematics Support
- Life and Study Skills Workshops
- PASSwrite
- Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)
- Post graduate AcPrep.
Staff and students have recently had the opportunity to input into the review process, with feedback being captured in the Learning Support Review survey. This information will be used in an aggregated way to inform the review process.
Emeritus Professor Rob Castle, until recently Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University of Wollongong, is undertaking this review. He has had extensive experience in establishing support programs for students, and recently met with staff and students from across UWS.
