ISSO

The Badanami Centre for Indigenous Education provides support for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at UWS.

Indigenous Student Support Officers (ISSOs) are located at the Badanami Centre on each campus to provide support and advice to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

ISSOs act as as a first point of contact for students seeking advice on cultural or personal issues. ISSOs are available to:

• Support new students through the transitional stage of adjusting to university life and academic culture.
• Help students develop an appropriate course of action for any problems they may face during their time at university.
