General Purpose Computer Laboratories
Some schools and units, such as the School of Computing and Mathematics, provide and maintain their own labs. You should contact those schools and units directly for information on their labs.
This page outlines the General Purpose Computer Lab facilities at UWS. There may be unavoidable minor changes to the information provided. The local IT Support Officer can answer questions you might have regarding General Purpose Computer Lab services. A list of installed software is available for staff access in the 'software library' Exchange email public folder.To request software for any labs, please complete the General Purpose Computer Lab Software Request Form (opens in a new window) (PDF, 276Kb). Colour Printing
ITS managed labs have monochrome (black and white) printing facilities. Colour printing is available via the UWS Library on each campus.
Lab hours
All ITS managed labs are open 22 hours per day (from 5:00 am till 3:00 am), seven days per week, unless otherwise advertised (eg, University Christmas close down, IT maintenance weekends, emergencies). The two hour closure in the early hours of each morning is used to maintain and update lab software.
