How do Regional Bonus Points work?

You do not need to do anything:

  • If you are completing the 2013 Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) and live or study in the Greater Western Sydney region you will automatically receive five Bonus Points when you apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to study at UWS
  • If you are a non-current school leaver (not completing the 2013 Australian Year 12 or IB at the time of applying for university) and live in the Greater Western Sydney region, you will automatically receive five Bonus Points when you apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to study at UWS
  • Bonus Points apply to all UWS courses, excluding Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), MBBS/Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music

The UWS Advantage Conditions:

Applicants who qualify for the Regional Bonus, Subject Bonus, Educational Access Scheme (EAS) and the Elite Athlete and Performer Bonus Scheme can only receive a maximum of 10 Bonus Points in total.
 
Students do not need to live in the Greater Western Sydney region to receive up to 10 Subject Bonus Points. Subject Bonus Points are not available for all UWS courses.
