Business Academic Excellence Scholarship

The UWS Business Academic Excellence Scholarship has been developed to assist undergraduate students studying business degrees to devote more time to their studies, allowing them to take full advantage of the Universities strategic links with key professional and industry groups, and to give students the best possible chance of succeeding in their careers.

Eligibility

Current high school leavers.

Courses

Undergraduate Business and Commerce or Economics Degrees:

Benefits

$5,000 per year (or part-time equivalent).

Duration

Up to four years full-time (or part-time equivalent) for an undergraduate degree which may include Honours.

Criteria

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • reside in or have undertaken their Higher School Certificate (HSC) in Greater Western Sydney
  • have applied for a UWS business course as their first preference with the University Admissions Centre (UAC) by close of Change of Preferences, 5 January 2012
  • demonstrate a high level of academic achievement through a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent

Application and Selection Process

There is no application required for this scholarship. Selection of these scholarships will be undertaken on the basis of highest ATAR, to the maximum number of scholarships available. The number of Scholarships available varies from year to year, and Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Executive Dean of the College.
