Business Academic Excellence Scholarship - Continuing Students
The UWS College of Business Academic Excellence Scholarship – Continuing Students has been developed to assist undergraduate students within the College of Business to devote more time to their studies, allowing them to take full advantage of the College's strategic links with key professional and industry groups, and to give students the best possible chance of succeeding in their careers.
Specifically this scholarship has been developed for continuing students who have not yet received another scholarship but have achieved high academic results during the first year of their course and are now in their second year. The aim of this scholarship is to encourage undergraduate students within the College of Business to continue with their studies and maintain the level of academic excellence that they have demonstrated so far.
Eligibility
Current UWS College of Buiness students in their 2nd year. Note the term 'second year' is defined as students who have completed between 80 and 160 credit points.
Courses
All undergraduate College of Business courses.
Benefits
$5,000 per year (or part-time equivalent).
Duration
Up to three years full time (or part-time equivalent) for an undergraduate degree which may include Honours.
Criteria
Applicants must:
- be enrolled in one an undergradaute College of Business course
- have completed between 80 and 160 credit points towards their degree. All credit points must have been obtained at UWS. Advanced standing will not be counted in this calculation
- be Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents or holders of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa
- not be in receipt of a Group A scholarship
Application and Selection Process
There is no application required. Selection of the successful recipients will be based on their academic achievement (based on highest Grade Point Average) within their course to date.
The number of scholarships available will vary from year to year and they are offered at the discretion of the Executive Dean of the College of Business.
