Any UWS undergraduate degree

Criteria

Applicants must:

• be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
• receive an offer or be currently enrolled to study a full-time undergraduate program at UWS
• be a single parent of one or more dependent children under the age of 10 years at the time of the application and able to demonstrate that they are in receipt of a commonwealth parenting payment
• demonstrate financial or other hardship, based on the UWS Opportunity and Equity criteria
• be undertaking their first degree

Cospak Group

Cospak is a manufacturer, importer and distributor of rigid and flexible packaging products, with its head office located in Minto, South West Sydney. Cospak's core business involves the supply of these products to wine, food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Italy.

Cospak has identified a need within the local community and has committed, in partnership with UWS through the Cospak Group Scholarship, to support the ongoing education and development of single parents wishing to undertake tertiary studies for the first time.

Applications and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant’s background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
