Dean's Scholarship
Dean’s Scholarships provide opportunities for exceptional students who have achieved outstanding results in their HSC (or equivalent), and/or for students who are currently enrolled in an appropriate UWS undergraduate Advanced or Dean’s Scholars degree.

- Bachelor of Engineering (Advanced)
- Bachelor of Medical Science (Advanced)
- Bachelor of Natural Science (Advanced)
- Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced)
- Bachelor of Science (Advanced)
Benefits
$5,000 per year (or part-time equivalent)
Duration
Up to four years full-time (or part-time equivalent) for an undergraduate degree which may include Honours.
Criteria
Applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
- reside in or have undertaken their Higher School Certificate (HSC) in Greater Western Sydney as defined by UWS.
- have applied for a UWS Advanced or Dean’s Scholars degree as their first preference with the University Admissions Centre (UAC) by close of Change of Preferences, 4 January 2013.
- demonstrate a high level of academic achievement through a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent
OR - be currently enrolled in a UWS Advanced or Dean’s Scholars degree and have maintained a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 (credit average) in the previous year
OR - have been accepted to transfer into one of the above listed UWS Advanced or Dean’s Scholars degrees and have maintained a GPA of 5 (credit average) in the previous year.
Application and Selection Process
There is no application required. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of highest ATAR and/or highest GPA to the maximum number awardable. The number of Dean’s Scholarships available varies from year to year and they are offered at the discretion of the Executive Dean.
