Criteria

• Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced) or Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry), having completed or received advanced standing for 80 credit points of the course.
  
• Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in Aged Care Nursing.
  
• Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of the Hawkesbury local government area.
• However, applicants who are willing to travel and work in the Hawkesbury area for the duration of the scholarship will also be considered.
• Applicants must be willing to undertake a minimum of 140 hours of paid work experience during each University semester or half year (possibly including semester breaks) with Hawkesbury Living, including a period as an Aged Care Nurse.
  
• The internship schedule is to be negotiated between the recipient and Hawkesbury Living.
  

Intocare Nursing Scholarship Program

The Intocare Nursing Scholarship is an initiative of The Richmond Club and Hawkesbury Living. The Richmond Club and Hawkesbury Living, with the support of local business and community members, wish to be part of a sustainable aged care nursing solution that will benefit the Hawkesbury Community.

The Intocare Nursing Scholarship program therefore aims to support nurses into aged care by establishing sustainable and effective solutions to learning. This includes the provision of quality work experience within an established aged care facility. This work experience is designed to maximise the learning pathway and incorporate best practice with current ideas.
