Criteria
Applicants must:
- be Australian citizens or permanent residents
- be in their second year of the Bachelor of Business and Commerce(opens in a new window) at UWS and completing a key program in Accounting
- be studying full-time at the UWS Campbelltown campus(opens in a new window)
- reside in the Macarthur region, including the Camden, Campbelltown, Liverpool or Wollondilly Local Government Areas
Macarthur Accountants Discussion Group
The Macarthur region is well represented by a strong range of Professional Accountants & Bookeepers. On a monthly basis for the past 20 years a group of Macarthur's Accountants have been meeting regularly to undertake Continuing Professional Development and to share business experience.
The Macarthur Accountants Discussion Group is growing and developing a network of Professional Accountants & Bookkeepers across the Macarthur Region. The Group has Members who are either members of the Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA Australia.
The Macarthur Accountants Discussions Group's longstanding affiliation with UWS began in 1987. The Group offers this scholarship to provide financial assistance to Accounting students studying on the UWS Campbelltown campus.
Application and Selection Process
Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant’s background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.
Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
Applicants must complete the UWS Donor Funded Group B Online Application Form and submit the form to the Scholarships and Student Advancement Unit before Wednesday, 26 June 2013. Applications received after this date will not be accepted.
