Criteria
Applicants must:
- be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
- receive an offer to study in an undergraduate program in agriculture, the environment or animal science at the UWS Hawkesbury campus (opens in a new window)
- be starting at UWS for the first time
Applicants meeting the above criteria will be assessed and selected based on their academic results
Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation
The late Sir Vincent Fairfax was a leading member of the business community who was passionate about issues concerning rural Australia. He was a philanthropist in life, and he established the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation to reflect is enduring values and vision.
Throughout his life, Vincent was a firm believer that wealth and influence brought with them a responsibility to support the community, and in keeping with philosophy UWS, in partnership with the Vincent Family Foundation has established a scholarship to support a UWS student during their studies.
Application and Selection Process
Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant’s background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.
Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
