Admission and Alternative Entry Information for your students

There are different processes for applying for Year 12 HSC and IB applicants, International Students and Indigenous Students - please ensure that your students are aware of what they need to do to apply. We have created an easy to follow checklist, so please refer to the relevant list below. Included on this page is information on alternative entry pathways and links to courses that have additional selection criteria.

Year 12 HSC and IB Applicants

  1. Check eligibility for The UWS Advantage - students could qualify for a maximum of 10 bonus points
  2. Apply online through the University Admissions Centre (opens in a new window) ensuring that the Application and Preferences are received and changed on time
  3. Know all the information on Alternative Entry Pathway options for example Unitrack, UWSCollege (opens in a new window) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Pathways
  4. Educational Access Scheme (opens in a new window)(EAS)
  5. Check eligibility and apply for Scholarships

International Student Applicants

  1. If International Students are completing an Australian Year 12 qualification onshore or offshore, an International Baccalaureate anywhere in the world, or New Zealand National Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 at the time of application, lodge an application through UAC International (opens in a new window)
  2. Explore UWSCollege (opens in a new window) and VET / TAFE Pathways as Alternative Entry Pathway to UWS

Indigenous Applicants

  1. Apply to the University Admissions Centre (opens in a new window) on the basis of ATAR or through the Badanami Alternative Entry Program
  2. Explore other Alternative Entry Pathway options for example Unitrack, UWSCollege (opens in a new window) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Pathways

Courses with Additional Selection Criteria
