Advanced Materials Characterisation Facility (AMCF)

The AMC Facility is run by Research Manager Dr. Richard Wuhrer, and has a wide range of state-of-the-art instruments including; SEM’s, XRD’s, AFM, Micrometrics, Probes and Thermal Characterisation for materials (biological and non-biological) characterisation.

Thermal Characterisation

The advanced thermal analysis facility is unique in Australia. Thermal characterisation is used in the development of such materials as polymerd, layered silicate nanocomposites, as well as analysis of mineralogy and biological systems.
