Intellectual Property
UWS Innovation is responsible for the management of intellectual property (IP) generated by UWS staff and students. This entails the unit working closely with individual academics, Schools and Research Centres as well as the Office of Research Services and the Office of the University Legal Council.
The Innovation team delivers professional services to protect and commercialise IP following an invention disclosure. They also engage with the University community to deliver IP training and develop awareness of IP. In doing this, they proactively encourage the commercial development of intellectual property for the benefit of the University, inventors and wider community.
IP Evaluation Panel
The IP Evaluation Panel assists staff and students with progression of any intellectual property which may require protection and/or investment.
