Admission to the University of Western Sydney (UWS) is highly competitive and you must satisfy the academic and English language requirements of the University. 

If you do not meet the admission requirements for UWS, you have the opportunity to prepare for university study at UWSCollege (opens in a new window).  UWSCollege is wholly owned by UWS and is the University's preferred provider of English language (opens in a new window), university foundation studies (opens in a new window) and diploma courses (opens in a new window)

International student admission to UWSYou are an international student if you are:

  • not an Australian or New Zealand citizen
  • not an Australian permanent resident

Apply direct to UWSInternational students must apply direct to the University of Western Sydney. 

Some international students apply via UAC International.

Apply via UAC InternationalIf you are an international student completing one of the following qualifications in 2012, please apply through UAC International (opens in a new window):

  • an Australian Year 12 in or outside Australia
  • an International Baccalaureate in Australia
  • a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) level 3
