New International Students

New international students will receive information about fees payable in their UWS Offer of Admission letter.  The available payment methods for new international students are outlined below.

Western Union Telegraphic Transfer
You can transfer your payment to the University’s bank account via Western Union.

This is the University’s preferred payment method for new international students.

The University of Western Sydney has partnered with Western Union Business Solutions to provide international students with a reliable and simple online payment service (opens in a new window).  This telegraphic transfer service allows you to:

  • Pay your tuition fees from your home country in your own currency or the currency of your choice
  • Avoid delays with payment delivered directly to UWS on the same day or within two working days, and for the full payment amount.
  • Avoid expensive bank charges – you will not need to worry about double conversions or extra bank fees
  • Make a payment that is guaranteed for 72 hours - so you will know the final cost of fees
  • Receive dedicated support - Western Union will answer all your questions and provide payment receipts

For more information, please read Western Union’s User Guide and FAQs (PDF, 1156 KB), or visit the Western Union website to make your online payment (opens in a new window).

Telegraphic transfer (Overseas or within Australia)
You can transfer your payment directly to the University's bank account (however,  to avoid delays and changes to currency and conversion rates we encourage you to pay via Western Union Telegraphic Transfer).
The University's bank account details will be included in your International Offer Pack [PDF 644Kb] (opens in a new window).

Please ensure your bank includes your name and Student ID number in the telegraphic transfer description.

Cheque
You can pay by cheque made out to the University of Western Sydney, payable in Australian Dollars. Please write your name and Student ID number on the back of your cheque.

Please note that cheques must be in Australian Dollars and drawn from an Australian Bank.

Credit Card
You can pay by MasterCard or Visa by completing the Credit Card Payment section in your Acceptance to Study at UWS [PDF 111.41Kb] (opens in a new window) form.

All new International Students must send their acceptance, confirmation of enrolment request, and payment forms which can be found in the International Offer Pack to:
