Language Study for UWS Students studying internationally
International economies require staff with cross-cultural and language skills. Study a language where it is used every day and you'll be prepared for work in a range of professions where these skills are valued. Having international study on your resume looks great; having language study as well is even better.
Beginner? Not yet confident in your skills?
If you do not (yet) have knowledge of a foreign language, are studying a language already at UWS, are not yet confident in your language skills, or would just like to experience a different language environment, we have some excellent programs for you! There are sites that offer language courses at beginner to advanced level as well as regular units taught in English.
Short courses - normally over July break, but may be over January or February.
Semester exchange or study abroad - normally January to May or August to December. Some students combine a short course in July with a semester beginning in August.
ISEP - UWS has an agreement with ISEP which allows its students to study at many more sites worldwide. The ISEP program is administered differently to regular exchanges. However, the costs to students are about the same (or less) and academic credit procedures are the same - ensuring full credit at UWS for units earned through ISEP.
