Orientation Program
Welcome to the University of Western Sydney!
Starting your study at a university is exciting. Starting your study in another country is exceptional - a new environment, a new culture, and a new way of learning. The UWS International Orientation program will help you in your transition to university and to a new chapter of your life.
Orientation is the official start of the session and specifically designed to introduce you to the University and key staff members. The program runs over several days and takes place 10 days before classes commence.

Please bring the following:
- Your passport
- Copy of both pages of the most recent offer letter issued to you
- Copy of your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE)
- ALL relevant original certificates and transcripts from previous courses AND one set of photocopies of these documents (required for Provisional and Conditional Offers)
- Tuition fee payment (only if making payment on the day) only credit card or cheque accepted. Do not bring cash.

Catching a train to and from Parramatta station?
A free shuttle bus to and from Parramatta station and Parramatta campus will be available at the following times:
Thursday 14 February 2013
Parramatta station to Parramatta campus: 8:30am, 9:00am, and 9:30am
Parramatta campus to Parramatta station: 2:00pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm
Friday 15 February 2013
Parramatta station to Parramatta campus: 8.00am-9.30am
Parramatta campus to Parramatta station: 2.00pm-5.30pm
Buses depart from Hopkinsons depot, Fitzwilliam St.
Look out for our Orientation Assistants at Parramatta Railway Station if you need any help on this day.
Living on (or close to) another UWS campus?
From your home campus, free transport will be available to and from Orientation.
This service is available on Friday 15 February only. Register to reserve your place.
My Course Planning (MCP) Sessions
It is important you attend My Course Planning Sessions (MCP) to find out more about your course and receive assistance in selecting units for study to help you enrol in your course.For students from UWSCollege or TAFE NSW
Search your course in the MCP campus schedule to find the time and location of your session.
For all other students (except students from UWSCollege or TAFE NSW)
Friday 15 February, 2013. Session details will be available in early February.
Note: If you arrive early in Australia, you are strongly encouraged to attend early MyCourse Planning Sessions as outlined for UWSCollege and TAFE NSW students above.
International Student Preparation Program
To support you in adjusting to a university learning environment, new international students are invited and encouraged to attend a free two-day International Student Preparation Program.

Enrolment
You can enrol online via MySR. Check out the video clip and information sheets for all the details on how to enrol.
If you experience any difficulty, enrolment staff will be available during the orientation program and 'O' week to help you with enrolment.

Course Orientation Sessions and 'O' Week
Course Orientation Sessions are held for students during 'O' week.
'O' Week runs across all campuses and provides you with the opportunity to meet academic staff, get to know other students in your course and ensure you are prepared to start classes.

Social Activities
