How to Apply for Study Abroad and Exchange Admissions

Step 1

Exchange and Study Abroad students are required to complete and submit the following documents.
UWS Study Abroad and Exchange application. This form can be downloaded and printed from our download page

  • Letter of endorsement form their home University. Applies to exchange students only. 
  • Certified copy of Academic transcript.
  • Recognised English test eg TOEFL or IELTS. If required

When the above documents are received the application can be processed.

Step 2

If your application is successful we will send an Offer Letter.

Offer Letter for:

Exchange students will be forwarded to their Home University.     
Study Abroad students will be sent to their Agent or directly to the applicant.

You will receive the following documents along with your Offer Letter:

  • Overseas Student Health Cover information (OSHC)
  • Offer Pack 

Step 3

To accept the Offer you will need to complete and submit the following forms which you will find in your Offer Pack 

Step 4

On receipt of the Acceptance/Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) request form and the Payment option form the following forms will be sent to the student/agent.

  1. Confirmation of Enrolment, this form is required for a student visa CoE is issued though PRISMS, this is a Government web site.
  2. CoE letter, For information on how and where to apply for a student visa please visit the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.

Step 5

Make your final preparations for arrival in Australia. Please ensure that you respond to information the University sends you concerning Airport Reception and Accommodation preferences.

Apply Early - as a guide you should apply by 15th November for courses commencing in the Autumn Session (February/March) and by 15th May for courses commencing in the Spring Session (July/August).
