Career Profile

Dr Marina Nehme is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Western Sydney. She is a researcher in corporate and financial services law issues. She has completed a PhD on the use of enforceable undertakings by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.  Her thesis is entitled: An Analysis of the Australian system of enforceable undertakings to determine an improved theory of negotiated settlements. 

Awards and Recognition

  • 2011: Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning: Motivating, inspiring and positively influencing students' learning in interdisciplinary law units by an early career academic.  This is a national award given by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (This body is now known as Australian Office for Learning and Teaching. 
  • 2009: Excellence Award for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (UWS, College of Business and Law)
  • 2008:  Nominated for early career researcher (UWS, College of Business and Law) and received an Honourable Mention Award.
